The Journey Family of Churches is a group of churches who share the same cultural DNA, as they together reach Central Oregon and the Pacific Northwest for Jesus. Originating in Bend, Journey Church was planted by Keith Kirkpatrick, who dreamed of starting a brand new church which aimed to create a place for those who don’t like church to find Jesus. In February of 2010, Keith, his wife, Kara, and a handful of dedicated believers launched Journey Church in Bend, Oregon.
Over the years, Journey in Bend met in a high school, a movie theater, and most recently, a strip club. God worked through Journey to redeem a strip club in downtown Bend and transform it into a sanctuary. Journey strives to go where Jesus would go and reach people Jesus would reach. There is hope for everyone! As the Journey vision continued to grow across Central Oregon and the Pacific Northwest, Journey Church in Bend stepped out in faith to plant more life-giving churches in this region to bring the message of faith, hope and love in Jesus to even more of Central Oregon! In February 2020, Journey in Bend launched the first Journey Network Church – Journey Church Redmond.
In the last 11 years, thousands have surrendered their hearts to Jesus. Today Journey continues to innovate to see more lives transformed by Jesus. During the Covid pandemic, Journey went on television and now reaches over 4,000 people weekly on ABC in Central Oregon.
God has accomplished more than Keith and the Journey team could have dreamed, but the best is still yet to come!
