Cozy and Comfortable

“You are in danger of living a life so comfortable and soft that you will die without ever realizing your true potential.” – Dave Goggins, retired Navy SEAL

You don’t compete in this event because it’s easy. You compete in it because it’s hard. You do it because it’s an escape from the normal routines that dominate your daily life.

It’s perfectly content sticking to the tried and true. We’ve evolved as a species to have this sort of thinking. When danger lurked around every corner for our primitive ancestors, it made sense to avoid the unknown.

But in today’s world, this complacency breeds mediocrity and gets ingrained in our thinking.

We begin to lose sight of what we’re capable of, but as Alex Honnold said, “Nobody JMcDonald 7720 1achieves anything great in the world by being happy and cozy.” He’s right. All great Endeavors stem from having enough of an urge, enough motivation, enough drive to push past the barriers of inertia and embrace a new course of direction.

New can be scary. It’s uncomfortable and challenging, but it is necessary for growth. Break free of any preconceived notions you have about your abilities and embrace your own challenges. Take on the Endeavor Team Challenge and discover that you can accomplish more than you ever thought possible.
