Booking Flights

We recommend flying in to Bay Area airports such as San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose. Competitors can also fly to major international airports in Sacramento and Reno-Tahoe.

Driving Directions

From the San Francisco Bay Area – about 3.5 hours

Take I-580 east;  I-205 east;  120 east;  99 north;  4 east and continue to Bear Valley.

 From Sacramento – about 2.5 hours

Take 99 south;  12 east; 49 south;  4 east and continue to Bear Valley.

From Lake Tahoe / Reno – about 2 hours

Take 4 west off of 88 at Woodfords and continue to Bear Valley.

Camping

Although there is no camping in the Bear Valley Village, there are numerous camping opportunities in the immediate surrounding area.  Both fee and non-fee areas exist and below is a list of the developed campsites in order of distance from Bear Valley.
